Picnic at Cape Spear

It’s so hot! Our whole kitchen is one big oven, the whole house is an oven. We weren’t prepared for a real heat wave (in Newfoundland!) and don’t have many fans. Our living room has a whole wall of windows that don’t open, oh god! We decided to pack a picnic and find someplace near the ocean to enjoy it. Cape Spear is always whipped by icy ocean winds, so we figured it would be a decent place to bring our dinner.

The winds were still blowing, but not so icy this time! It was a perfect spot for dinner in the golden evening sun, and the wildflowers were spectacular all around us!
