Tahquemenon Falls State Park

We did a 5-mile hike from the upper falls to the lower falls. Tahquemenon creek is brown-colored from all the tannins in the cedar swamps at the headwaters. The upper falls are really big, while the lower falls are a series of five smaller falls with an island in the middle. Both falls were pretty busy with visitors, but the riverside hike between them was quiet and peaceful.
