Screenprinting studio day

I’ve made some new designs for screenprinting denim pouches. Spent the past few months cutting up old blue jeans into little pouch-sized rectangles and now I have a nice stack of denim pieces for printing!

It’s been so fun thinking about the color and pattern combinations for these. Each bag will have a pattern on the front, a pattern on the back, and another pattern printed on the lining fabric. Some of them will be more monochromatic and some will have different colors all over! It’s so fun to be back in the printmaking studio again. Many thanks to St. Michael’s Printshop for the studio rental. I do have my own studio space set up for printmaking, but St. Michael’s Printshop is bigger, it’s just around the corner and it’s fun to get out of my own space and work around other artists for the day.
