Harriet is 9!

We made some special pancakes and spent the morning frosting homemade cupcakes and making up loot bags for all her friends, then had a great big POOL PARTY to celebrate!

Frosting birthday cupcakes. Please note our luxurious (mid-renovation) living area, complete with plastic walls, space heater, and chaos.
Setting up for the party at Paul Reynolds Community Centre. They gave us a surprisingly big, upstairs room which had amazing views over the city, and incredible golden glowing afternoon sunshine for our party.
Stock photo of the amazing Community Centre swimming pool / water park because they don’t let people take photos in there.
There was a big snow and ice storm the night before, and the whole city was glittery and sparkling outside the windows!
Golden hour light on the snack table… we had many snacks and a big cake and cupcakes. Not pictured: 8 large pizzas!

A very special homemade chocolate cake for a very special 9-year-old! ❤️
There were a zillion fun friends there! They ate lots and lots of snack and cake and pizza, and then played keepy-uppy with the balloons until it was time to go home.
